My roommate just told me the results...
PAP won again..ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
My roommate told me they won 82 out of 84 places...the other 2 places won by opposition is Hougang and Potong Pasir...
THey got overall 66% of the votes or something like that..
WtF...how come all the time PAP wins all the elections...
I must first clarify i am totally uninterested in politics...i am not even a singaporean citizen, i cant even bloody vote okay...
i just wanted to see something different happening in singapore...all these loooooong years its always PAP hogging everything... It would be really interesting to see what a new cabinet and government would bring about.
I really dun get it.. i thought that the opposition rallies were
stuffed with pple??? I think the next day the grass on the field that the crowd was standing on all died and turn brown already....
the cameramen, should be government property, had to use narrow-view cameras in order to prevent the public from seeing that the opposition actually have so many pple supporting them....and also had to use narrow angle cameras in PAP rallies to show that there were barely any pple supporting them...
bloody hell, I really really had hoped that the opposition was going to win...either that or surely they should have had made a bigger impact then just

Is it because pple think that most of the Lee family inside??? And what the hell is so stunning about the Lees' anyway....
I would be fucking blind to say that LKY didnt make much contributions before...but wtf, that was more than 40 years ago!! Move on man!!!

ACtually right, my roommate was telling me that Lee Hsien Long received less votes than expected. He predicted 80% of the votes would go to him... but eventually he only got 65%...
But here's the crunch... The opposition actually sent a very weak team to his ang mo kio constituency during the GRC(group representation constituency). Thats because they thought that there was no point sending a good team since the PRIME MINISTER would 'bao ka liao'
everything... but wtf, in the end he only got 65%, against a 'hopeless' team... tsk tsk tsk
Mr Long, u better do something about this, or you might not be there for long...
What frustrates me the most actually, is the fact that the candidates only go around to interact with the pple WHEN THERE IS AN ELECTION...
Wtf, you think that parading around in those white uniforms
once would SHOW that you are concerned is it?!!
If you genuinely care for the pple's welfare, you should be doing that every fucking day, talking to them, getting feedback consistantly and actively finding areas for improvement...
Funny... it might be my lack of reading newspapers but i only hear of upgrades and benefits for the pple when the elections are about...coincidence maybe...
I feel this last minute sucking up to the citizens to get their votes is just disgusting...
If you really are that great and have been sincere about benefitting the pple, the pple would know it, you need not go around with that smile plastered on your face. Why must they always be in a group?? Scared of being mugged is it? If the pple like you, you wont have to be scared..
But i also dunno why the the singaporeans accept it, as in, no one really makes a meal out of these little things..Hmm, come to think about it, i think actually a lot of pple know it and despise and and relent it, but there is just no channels available to them to express themselves and actually make themselves heard such that the public can do something about it...
It's damn frustrating..on one hand these things seems trivial and its hard to make a strong stand with only these example...but on the other hand, it says a lot about the candidates/government..
tsk very hard to express what i want to say, even i dun really understand what i really wrote up there lol...

Im just writing impulsively...putting down some thoughts that some of you might understand and identify with.. Forgive me if my views seems shallow, i am always open to criticism anyway...
TSK, to cut the long story short... singapore is screwed up, but it still functions, though barely...not bad enough to do anything drastic, not good enough to respect them.
Worst thing is we can do nuts about it
